how to create a BEAUTIFUL powder bath-Harvard Drive Powder Bath Reveal

Every once in a while we come across a client that wants to stretch their own imagination which allows us to be super creative! This was one of those clients. She really trusted us and our process. When we were initially contacted, the client had several places in her home that needed updating. One of them was her powder bath. Nothing had been done to it since moving into the home. Here is what it looked like when we came over.

It was a blank box. We were getting a clean slate. It was small in width so we had to use a below average size vanity. We didn’t have a ton of room. I had seen a sink that I had loved and wanted to use in a project. It was made of stone and had a scallop backsplash. I presented the idea to the homeowner and she was totally onboard. Here is the drawing we shared with her to help her visualize the finished idea.

We also shared the actual version of the one we had seen with some additional notes.

Once we discussed this whole idea, the client signed on immediately.

The first step was sourcing the marble to use for it. We had to go to several stone yards, but eventually we found the perfect one. We selected a faucet in polished nickel with a sconce that picked up on the curves of the scallop backsplash. The mirror was the finishing touch.

In small spaces wallpaper can be a great way to create a unique atmosphere. I thought this small bathroom would be the perfect spot for some beautiful wallpaper. We found the perfect one for the wall and a complimentary grass cloth for the ceiling. The entire room would be enveloped in paper. We were creating my favorite thing, a jewel box for a bathroom.

Here is how it turned out.

It’s a tiny, spectacular bathroom. It has so much personality packed into this little space. I fell in love as we progressed through the install of every piece.
